I wish we had those Horse Lubber grasshoppers but they are only native to the southwest. Years ago my son gave me a Carolina Grasshopper for Easter. It was about the size if this guy and it was found in a shipping crate that was sent to NY to his motorcycle shop.....I released him [it was a male] out in the fields with a whole bunch of our little grasshoppers here. They probably freaked out when they saw this giant one in their habitat !!!! LOL......Amazing capture Trish : ]
